This set of steps are at the back of Lancaster Castle and i always had the idea to shoot this at dusk on the large format camera, unfortunately you can only focus this camera in daylight, so i had to arrive in plenty of time to set up and focus the scene, i then waited around 1 hour 20 for the lights to come and for optimum time to take the shot. Then the 14 minute exposure seemed like an eternity.
